New School Year!!

We are into our third week of school now and getting back onto a schedule. It seems that life just gets more busy the older the kids get. Jadie is in second grade and has Mrs. Blackhall this year. Lexi is sergeant in arms of the student council and is in 4th grade and has Mrs. Foster. Raden is the king of the school in 6th grade and has Mrs. Agan. And Bailee is the baby of the high school as a freshman! The younger three seem to have adjusted quickly and aside from being tired are doing well. Lexi and Jadie start soccer in a couple weeks and Raden has fall ball. Bailee took a rough couple weeks of being overwhelmed and getting used to how everything works in high school and it settling in better now.  She seems to really enjoy early morning seminary and the good start that is gives her day.  The requirements for seminary graduation have changed and the bar has once again been raised for these youth - and its awesome too see them rising to the challenge. She went through a very tough week of conditioning before volleyball tryouts started and cut over 2 minutes off her mile time to run it in 7:50. She didn't make the team but we are so proud of how hard she worked and that she didn't give up! She was the only one that wasn't upset when cut and  told the coach that she would be back next year to which the coach replied that was what she liked to hear. So now she is focusing on symphonic orchestra and getting ready for basketball tryouts.

Every now and then it hits me pretty hard that time is just going by so fast - we only have so much time with them at home and everyday I try harder to enjoy every second of it because I do know that it all too soon be empty in our home. Koston is hanging out here at home with me and likes to play with friends. I am savoring these last two year before he goes to kindergarten.
