~32~

I turned 32 on April 16. And yes I am just about 2 years older than Jared. What can I say - I like younger men :) I have to say though that I really havent had any issues with being in my 30's - other than my knees hurting.

Jared gave me these beautiful roses and took me to a great dinner at The Stake Out. What could be better than food and flowers!!!!

My kids didnt want to feel left out so they gave me some gifts too. Bailee gave me a letter and a picture. Raden gave me a chocolate candy and a hug. Lexi gave me 1/2 a golden Easter egg and a picture and a Prince charming doll. How cute is that!!!!

Easter

The kids and I went to Sierra Vista this Easter to spend time with Jared's mom and sisters and cousins (Jared's nana had a stroke so he and his Dad were in California with her)The kids had a great time playing with their cousins and finding Easter eggs.

These have always been one of my favorite things to do at Easter. You hollow out an egg, color it, fill it with confetti, glue tissue paper over the hole and hide them. When you find one you get to crack it on someone!

Kissing cousins

Almost all of the grand kids on Jared's side of the family

While we were there three deer came through the back yard and started to eat the flowers on the inside of the yard wall. Pretty cool. The kids loved watching them.

Dressing up as Helen Keller

Bailee has to do a report on Helen Keller next Friday and has to dress up like her. Does anyone have any old-fashioned dresses like these that she could borrow? Or any other ideas?

First Love

Bailee: There is a girl and boy in my class that are good friends- they spend all their time together.

Me: ooooooo- are they boyfriend and girlfriend?

Bailee: I dont know.

Raden: I have a girlfriend.

Me: Oh you do? Who is it?

Raden: Sierra

Me: Oh really? Does she know that?

Raden: No - I have to tell her.

Yep- true love

Jean Robinson Dees

My Nana ( my Dad's mom) passed away on March 23. She was 91 years old. Her funeral was last Friday. It was a sad but special week. She had been without my Grandad for 21 years and was ready to go home. She was able to serve 2 missions after he died. She also was able to be reunited with her birth parents that died when she was 7 months old from the Spanish flu epidemic. We had a lot of family come in for the funeral and I caught just a small glimpse of what it will be like in the next life when we are reunited with family. My favorite part of the week though was when My mom, sisters, and sister-in-law and I were able to dress her for the funeral. It was such a sweet experience and a testimony builder to know that her spirit lives on and that her body was just a place for her while she was on this earth. This earth life isnt all there is - that there is so much more. It helped to remind me that I have a Heavely Father that knows and loves me and an older brother that loves me so much he gave his life for me. It reminded me that the little things that I worry about here really arent that important in the big picture. All that really matters is what we can take with us after this part of our life - our family, testimony of our savior, and how we loved people while we are here. It will be a sweet reunion.
