Still another catching up

One of these days I will completely catch up and then be better at posting each week - This is what been going on  the past 7 months:

Summer sports: Baseball, softball, swimming, basketball and soccer

Summer movies, chores and dress up

A BIG birthday for Raden! He turned 12 and was able to receive the Aaronic priesthood. His birthday has been the same week as girls camp the past 2 years so we’ve had to celebrate it a few weeks late. He was also able to go on the youth temple trip and do baptisms. We are so proud of this guy and the young man he’s becoming. He’s wicked smart, funny, loves sports and still manages to keep a gentle heart.

FOURTH OF JULY

Family Trip to California! We went to a beach on Coronado island an met Paul,Mel, Tyler and Brandon there. We went to the Mormon battalion site and panned for gold. Then we spent a day at Universal studios.  We ate at some cool places and stopped at a few piers. We rode a family sized bike and stopped for ice-cream when the gentle bike ride turned into a hour long workout! Although it was cloudy at the beach, Raden and I got the worst sunburns we have ever had - blisters included. Spent some time looking for coconut oil and aloe vera - lesson learned for us whities! Sunburns aside it was a great week!

Injuries and hospital stays : Jared and I both had surgeries this past year. I had the hole in my ear canal fixed and Jared had his right shoulder fixed. Both had a longer recovery time but we’ve made it through so far.  I chalk it up to old age. Lexi broke two toes doing a cartwheel and the wall got in the way - she had to miss a few weeks of soccer but healed nicely.

More shenanigans  and fun stuff

First day of school ! Bailee Sophomore , Raden 7th grade, Lexi 5th, Jadie 3rd and Koston preschool

Dad also had his birthday in July and we were able to have him over for a bday celebration! Im so grateful for him and who he is!

HUNTING! I was able to go scouting for elk with jared and join him on his bow hunt for a few days - while he didnt come home with an elk he had a few very close shots and it was so awesome to be out there with him! Even when we thought we lost him, got rained on and caught in a storm with me driving the quad out  by myself on a very rough road in the dark and pouring rain. What an adventure! Later on I went on my first deer hunt.  We didnt have much time so I shot at a spike the first morning but only wounded him so Jared shot and killed him and tagged him to allowed me a second chance - what a nice guy! Later that night I found another spike and decided to take a shot and dropped him. Then Raden had a chance to go out with some friends looking for deer too. He wasn’t able to get anything but had fun with Jared and their buddies

We also took a trip to the cabin:

This beautiful girl also had a BIG birthday this year and turned 16!!!!!  She now can date and drive!!!!! We celebrated her birthday at the cabin and then went to dinner at the cheesecake factory where she and Grammie got serenaded for their birthdays! Its been amazing to see Bailee turn into a beautiful young woman. We joke that she’s our guinea pig when it comes to parenting and goodness knows we’ve made mistakes along the way but we are so grateful for this girl and all she adds to our lives. She is beautiful inside and out, responsible, caring and we love her!

More fun times!

More of Bailees bday and a quick stolen picture of her walking out to her first date!

In October we took Bailee and Raden to General Conference in Utah. The boys went with friends to the priesthood session and saturday sessions. Then we sent as a family to the Sunday afternoon sessions. What a great trip!

while the boys are away the girls will play!

First plane ride - waiting to board.

I got to go with Jadie in her field trip to the Marana pumpkin patch!

Halloween!!! The boys went as 80’s dodge ball players, Lexi was a zombie littered riding hood, Jadie was a smore and Koston was spiderman. Lexi had a soccer game that evening ( who schedules games on Halloween?!) so it was a rushed night but still got lots of candy, which is the most important thing anyway

It finally got cold enough to have a fire during early morning family scripture reading

Cold fall ball baseball games

And beautiful arizona sunsets

This little man turned 5 and is growing up way too fast! He adds so much fun to our family and we love him and his spunkiness!

And this lil miss turned 11! She is our soft hearted animal loving girl that can run like the wind and loves to give and cares for others. We love you lexi lou!

A few more randoms:
Papa and Koston, Lexi at the Fort Lowell soccer shoot out, and Raden and Koston sleeping in a tent.

CHRISTMAS!!! MY FAVORITE!!!

Yes he is asleep !

Raden went out of his comfort zone and tried wrestling with Isaac this year. He did awesome and found another sport that he loves!

Jared turned 37 in February. He and I went to the cabin and had a great bday dinner with some friends and then came home to a decorated house and chocolate cake
