COOL WEATHER PICTURES OUT WHERE WE LIVE

My grandpa Marshall Smyth got sicker this year and we were able to visit him.  We talked with him and sang songs with him and got to share memories with this great man. He peacefully passed away on March 22.  There wasn’t any formal service but we had a viewing and then went to the cemetery where he was buried. Then on April 18th we met as a family at the gravesite where my Dad dedicated the gravesite of  both my grandpa and my grammie.  We had a  family celebration of his life at his house after. Im so grateful for the knowledge of the plan of salvation and the peace and comfort that is gives when a loved one passes away. My moms siblings aren’t members of the church and all showed their grief in different ways. We know that he is with Grammie and being taught about the gospel and about our Savior.

Easter was on General conference Sunday this year - I love it when that happens! Moms birthday also fell on the same day so we had a family dinner after the session

I turned 38 - which is a lot closer to 40 than 30. Bailee decorated for me and Jared brought me flowers

On our anniversary Jared went to circle k and found these coke bottles with our names on it sitting next to each other. I told him it was a sign. He bought them.

Bailee got her permit and is learning to drive - so far the kids are not allowed in the car with her

Raden and his friends went to a Diamondbacks baseball game and were put onto the jumbotron

Raden received the almond joy award for having the best smile in gem class. He hates almond joy and traded a girl for a kit kat.

Koston and his friend thought it would be fun to have a chalk line war at the ball fields

Jadies softball team took pictures on an abandoned train track and we had to move when a train came

Raden, Buzz, Romey , and Jayden did a teenage mutant ninja turtle rap at the 6th grade talent show

Koston played his first year of tball and loved jumping on home plate

Raden graduated from 6th grade and is moving on to middle school - Im so glad he has a group of awesome friends to hang out with

And girls camp of course. Bailee was a fourth year this year and went on a two night hike while Jared and I along with the Laffertys led the third years on an overnight hike. Other than freezing on our hike, septic tank issues back at camp, no sleep,  canoeing plans falling through, and a trip to the chiropractor when I got back, it was a great time. Ive been with the young women for a long time now and they truly are strong and amazing youth! Every year I go to girls camp the spirit is strong and my testimony is strengthened about our savior and how much our Heavenly Father loves each one of us and is aware of each of us!

Bailees fourth year group

Pizza for the fourth years after the hike - Bailees face says it all

Our sad faces after the canoeing trip fell through

And a  favorite quote I found

So thats been us the last 6 months - a lot more is happening so I will post more soon!
